Fort Bend Children's Discovery Center

The Fort Bend Children’s Discovery Center is a very special project of the Children’s Museum of Houston. The Discovery Center occupies a 12,000 square foot restored building and features five children's exhibits. A Playground for your mind!

Houston Museum of Natural Science George Observatory

Get back to exploring the galaxy! The Houston Museum of Natural Science is investing in the educational and recreational future of Fort Bend County with a revamped experience at the historic George Observatory, working in collaboration with our friends at Brazos Bend State Park. The George Observatory will reopen to the public on Friday, March 19 after nearly two years undergoing an extreme makeover. First opened in the fall of 1989, the observatory has been closed for long-awaited renovations since 2019. Join us on deck for real time camera feeds from the telescopes, expert interactions with astronomers and a laser tour of the night sky. Due to social distancing requirements, opening weekend tickets will be offered on a limited capacity basis. Advance ticket purchase is required. Your ticket to this event is a timed entry admission, and a paper or electronic receipt is required for entry. Tickets will not be available for purchase onsite. Ticketing link to be updated shortly. Splashway Waterpark

Splashway is a family waterpark open to the public seasonally from May through September catering to families with children of all ages. We are located on U.S. Hwy 90-A in the community of Sheridan, TX which is 20 minutes south of Interstate 10 between Houston and San Antonio. We offer a variety of attractions with a focus toward families with young children. Our parking and tubes are free. We provide lifejackets to everyone who wishes to have one. Texas Renaissance Festival

The Texas Renaissance Festival is the Nation’s largest, most acclaimed Renaissance theme park. Open to the public every Saturday, Sunday, and Thanksgiving Friday, October 10th through November 29th. The enchanted 55-acre village comes to life as all of Europe comes to pay homage to the King and Queen with Eight Themed Weekends. Hundreds of costumed performers are showcased in over 200 daily performances. Visitors meander along shaded cobblestone walkways visiting almost 400 shoppes overflowing with unique arts and crafts of offering delicious foods and beverages. All ages will be amused by the games of skill and human-powered rides. Revel in the sights, sounds, smells, tastes and beauty of this authentically recreated 16th Century British village with lush landscaped grounds and vines. A perfect day ends as behold the burst of Royal Fireworks held above the Festival’s lake.
